Zegrahm has been traveling to the Antarctic region since their inception over 25 years ago. From exploring its outer expanses—including the Ross Sea, the Weddell Sea, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands—to focusing their time purely on the peninsula, Zegrahm has covered a LOT of Antarctica’s nooks and crannies; and they’re thrilled to be returning again! In 2018, you have two opportunities to join them on the Great White Continent:
- Antarctica, South Georgia & the Falkland Islands
January 4, 2018 | 22 Days | Aboard the Island Sky
Enjoy the Antarctic environs on this cruise that goes beyond the destination. Tour the beautiful Falkland Islands and view rockhopper, gentoo, and Magellanic penguins, as well as black-browed albatross; witness the vast penguin colonies of South Georgia—king, macaroni, gentoo, and chinstrap; and learn about early polar exploration and whaling history, all aboard the 100-guest Island Sky.
- Across the Antarctic Circle: Voyage to the 7th Continent
January 22, 2018 | 14 Days | Aboard the Island Sky
Also aboard the Island Sky, travel even further south as you venture across the Antarctic Circle. You’ll spend five full days exploring the Antarctic Peninsula—and even set foot on the continent!—and cruise through the Lemaire Channel, boarding Zodiacs to search for leopard, Weddell, and crabeater seals (as well as humpback, minke, and orca whales).
With a stellar team lead by Expedition Leader Dan Olsen and Cruise Director Kelsey Simmons, both voyages will also have naturalist Michael Moore, conservation biologist Rich Pagen, geologist Tom Sharpe, and ornithologist Jim Wilson.
