About this tour

We would like to introduce two unique, luxury properties, part of our Wildland Ltd. portfolio - Kinloch Lodge, Sutherland and Killiehuntly Farmhouse, Cairngorms.

Both properties are ideal for holidays in the Scottish Highlands. Furthermore, if your dream is to be engulfed by wilderness whilst enjoying the simple things with those closest to you, then read on...

Kinloch Lodge - Sutherland

Your own private remote lodge for 1 group - located 2 hours north of Inverness, near Tongue, on the North Coast 500 route.

Kinloch Lodge offers solitude and comfort in the wild, magnificent setting of Sutherland. Kinloch is available all year round for private rental by one group/booking, accommodating a maximum of 14 guests in seven bedrooms. A private holiday here is best enjoyed with a group of family or friends and is all about appreciating nature, good food and company whilst residing in a remote, rural paradise. Laidback luxury and tranquility come hand in hand making it easy to nurture friendships or spend quality time with your clan. There is no need to lift a finger as the lodge has a private chef (who sources only fresh, local produce) and a hospitality team helps to organise your stay and any outdoor experiences.

A special place
Kinloch was originally the private lodge of the Duke of Sutherland and the classic sporting property has been newly refurbished. The interior has been inspired by its remote setting with lots of wooden furnishings, natural colour schemes and open stone fireplaces and its generous, light living spaces allow for time alone with a good book whilst cosy corners invite fireside chats over a glass of wine. Admire the rugged open landscape of Ben Loyal during dinner in the conservatory and make yourself at home in beautifully decorated spacious bedrooms.

This hideaway from the real world is ideal for either a planned activity holiday – walking, cycling, hiking, stalking – or a relaxing break with loved ones and is surrounded by miles of land to roam and explore.

Killiehuntly Farmhouse & Cottages - Cairngorms

Escape the day-to-day in a rural haven in the Cairngorms National Park

Whether for a romantic retreat for two, family holiday or to escape city life for a long weekend with your best friend, you are guaranteed easy living at Killiehuntly. Still a working farm, the 17th Century farmhouse turned chic B&B with a contemporary feel is the perfect idyll for those who appreciate simple local produce and taking the time to relax and reflect amongst a bit of luxury. The farmhouse features four individually-let rooms, and within the farm there are three separate self-catered cottages close by – Geordies (sleeps 5), the Bothy (sleeps 4) and the Hayloft (sleeps 2).

As nature intended
The homely farmhouse has beautiful and generously sized decorated bedrooms, each with their own character and unique features, whilst the cottages offer a more private setting. Nature is brought inside with soft linens, wooden flooring, sheepskins and solid oak writing desks – guests can find inspiration penning a postcard whilst gazing over a traditional farming landscape of long grassy fields, dry stone walls and clusters of wild flowers.

Killiehuntly’s sturdy stone walls have captured stories of old – feel the history of the Highlands all around you taking in the fresh air, breath-taking scenery and nutritious locally produced ‘farm to table’ food. Residents enjoy delicious breakfasts and dinners at one long table, sharing stories creating a memorable stay. Nature lovers will revel in the freedom of challenging walks and Scottish wildlife, whilst outdoor sports - from hunting and stalking to wild swimming and fishing - offer escapism and adventure.
