The K Club (Kildare, Ireland) -- When it comes to legendary golf courses, The K Club certainly makes the list. Located 30 minutes from Dublin, the resort's Ryder Cup course and the Smurfit course are both designed by golf legend, Arnold Palmer. Recognized as one of Europe's most spectacular courses, the parkland Ryder Cup course is challenging and dramatic with an impeccable layout and design. Ranked regularly in the top 3 parkland golf courses in Ireland, this course has hosted the world's top golf professionals for many championship events in addition to The Ryder Cup, including the Irish Open and many European Opens. The Smurfit course is a challenging "island links" course with landscapes and dune style mounding that ensure a completely different experience from the Ryder Cup course.

Malone Golf Club, host of this year's Irish Senior Championship, covers 330 acres and boasts three nine-hole layouts, two of which form its championship 18-hole course (see photo above). The Royal Belfast Golf Club -- Northern Ireland's oldest -- sits along Belfast Lough making it a perfect course for cruise ship passengers.
